IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE PLAYOFFS PAGE

The playoffs page has been activated. The game dates shown on the page are in accordance with the Comissioner's email dated 9/28/06; however, the final seeding of the teams had not been established at the time of that email because there were still nine regular-season games that had not been played. As of today (10/2/06) seven of those games have been played and only two games (both in the "A" division) are left in the regular season.

The playoffs page was developed over the weekend and it has not been reviewed by the Comissioner. Please verify your team's place in the final standings by contacting your team captain or the Comissioner; as the information on the website is subject to change.

For information, the rationale behind the season standings and playoff seeding as posted on this website is as follows:

A DIVISION
No tiebreakers necessary as of now. If A4 wins 1 of their 2 remaining games, then the playoff seeding as shown on the website should be correct. If A4 loses both games, then A4 and A1 will have identical records of 2-14, and their season series will be split at 2-2. A tiebreaker would be required at that point to decide the 4th seed for the playoffs.

B DIVISION
Three teams finished at 11-7. The tiebreaker used to determine playoff seeding is as follows:
* B2 is 2-0 vs B3 and 1-1 vs B6 for a 3-1 tiebreaker record (4th seed).
* B6 is 1-1 vs B2 and 1-1 vs B3 for a 2-2 tiebreaker record (5th seed).
* B3 is 0-2 vs B2 and 1-1 vs B6 for a 1-3 tiebreaker record (6th seed).

C DIVISION
Three teams finished at 12-6. The tiebreaker used to determine playoff seeding is as follows:
* C10 is 2-0 vs C5 and 2-0 vs C7 for a 4-0 tiebreaker record (2nd seed).
* C5 is 0-2 vs C10 and 2-0 vs C7 for a 2-2 tiebreaker record (3rd seed).
* C7 is 0-2 vs C10 and 0-2 vs C5 for a 0-4 tiebreaker record (4th seed).
Two teams finished at 10-8. These teams (C4 and C9) will play a one-game playoff for the 6th seed per the Comissioner's email.

As stated above, this information has not been reviewed or approved by the League Commissioner; therefore, it is not official. I will be on a shipcheck this week, so there will be no updates to this website until Monday 10/9 at the earliest. Please contact your Team Captain or the Commissioner for official playoff schedule information.
Thanks
